Hey guys, my husbands company is looking to hire some people. I don't know the terminology, but I will cut & paste it here for your reading pleasure :p

PM Omega or me if you would like some more information of if you're interested in submitting a CV to his company. They are based in Joburg.

Title: Technical systems software developer

Qualifications: A university degree, including or similar to
1. Electrical engineering (or MSc)
2. Computer Scince (BSc, Hons, or MSc)
3. IT

The candidate’s responsibilities may include inter alia:
1. Development of systems for transport optimisation
2. Maintenance of exiting systems
3. Development of middle-ware
4. Development of dashboards and reports
5. Writing of unit-tests and quality frameworks

Required skills
1. Strong analytic ability
2. Good understanding of algorithms and algorithm complexity
3. Mastery of at last one of C++, C# or Java
4. Good SQL server skills
5. Good communications and writing skills
6. Ability to work under pressure and to deliver according to time lines
7. Deep understanding of networks, databases and computer architecture
8. Passion for computing

Title: Transport Logistics Software Implementer and Consultant

Qualifications: A University degree, including (or similar to):
1. Industrial Engineering.
2. Logistics
3. IT

The candidate’s responsibilities may include inter alia:
1. Project management.
2. Process mapping and re-engineering.
3. Configuration of optimisation software.
4. Loading of master data into optimisation software.
5. Training.
6. Go-live duties.
7. Post-implementation support.
8. Liaising with optimisation software developers.
9. Preparation of documentation and SOP’s

Required skills:
1. Analytical skills to aid troubleshooting and analysing client requirements.
2. Ability to work with a variety of people with varying skill levels, and at times under pressure.
3. Ability to be self motivating and to keep track of all aspects of project work.
4. Working knowledge of selected database tools.
5. Understanding and working knowledge of IT Operating Systems and networking environments.
6. Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word.
7. Knowledge of transport logistics processes and requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:
1. Post graduate degree in the field of Statistics/ Operations Research/ Applied Mathematics or equivalent
2. MS Office, Excel proficiency very important
3. Knowledge of SQL an advantage
4. Good verbal and written communication skills
5. Ability to meet with and present results of projects to clients
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
7. Able to work as a team and independently without micro-management
8. Orderly and conscientious worker
9. Dependable and prepared to work overtime when necessary

The salary is negotiable, depending on your experience, abilities and current salary.

Seems there's another post going at Omega's company if anybody is interested in applying:

Title: Technical Writer/Web page maintenance/PR

Qualifications: No specific qualification is needed, but a good IT background or diploma in technical writing would help.

Responsibilities:
1. Development and maintenance of all OPSI user manuals
2. Interacting with developers to keep manuals up to date
3. Maintenance and update of OPSI website
4. Content and design of OPSI newsletters
5. Creation and distribution of PR releases

Skills:
1. Strong writing skills and ability to express technical concepts clearly.
2. Web editing
3. Use of Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator
4. Detail oriented
5. IT background and strong computer literacy
6. Ability to interact with people and run projects independently
