I'm planning on moving the site back to its original host tonight. I'll be taking the site offline at around ~ 20h00. I'll then transfer the database back to the old host.

Because the ADSL transparent proxy screws me around, I'll have no way of really knowing when the DNS has properly propogated, so once I've got the database transferred, I'll probably change the index document on RN's server to "mark" which site is which.

As soon as I can get to the server again, I'll bring it back online.

Hold thumbs that the transfer goes smoothly. :)

The actual site transfer took 5 minutes, but then I discovered a bug with vbulletin and the version of mysql that I'm now using on the box (upgraded the OS when I had the opportunity). Anyway, it kept throwing errors and crashing the mysql process.

After buggering around for ages, I eventually found a fix. It took me about an hour to apply the fix (minor code edit) because I kept stuffing it up. Don't try things like this when you're tired!

Anyway, if you see any site errors (mainly MySQL DB Errors), please (if you can) post here, or email / msn me or something. Send a carrier pigeon.

Tonight on irc #Gentoo some one asked if Linux supports IP over Pigeon! ROFLMAO. Like what you said. I said thats over kill if the pigeon knows where its going LOL. You wanna what? Send 50 pigeons, each with two words of the letter and have them all take different roots and finally you reasemble the letter and send a pigeon back for each one you receive with a letter saying ACK? Apparently Pigeon is some sort of Wifi implementation or something.
